Duplicate Driver License, ID or DAC

NOTE: All license replacements are sent through the mail to the mailing address the DMV has on file. Mail forwarding through the postal service does not affect this. Check (and update) your address online through MyDMV!

You may order a duplicate license or ID online with a MyDMV account.

Some restrictions apply:

If you are temporarily outside of Nevada, please contact us.

Real ID

If your license or ID has a gold star in the upper right corner, you already have a Real ID and your duplicate will also have the star. You do not have to submit any additional documentation.

If not, your duplicate will be marked "NOT FOR REAL ID PURPOSES."

A Real ID will be required for those who wish to use a driver license or state ID to board aircraft beginning May 7, 2025. See DHS Real ID Information for details and other instances where a Real ID is required.

You must visit a DMV office and submit proof of identity and address to obtain a Real ID. You can upgrade at the same time as you order a duplicate or complete another DMV transaction.

Visit GetRealNevada.com and The Real ID Act in Nevada to determine whether a Real ID is right for you.
